Huntingdonshire

The flag of Huntingdonshire was registered by the Flag Institute in 2009 although the design is much older and comes from the College of Arms. The arms granted to the former County Council included a green flag bearing a gold ribboned hunting horn, borne by a red lion. The flag was promoted by the Huntingdonshire Society in June 2007 and in 2009 the Flag Institute’s slightly amended design was duly registered by them. The drive for registration was spearheaded by Rupert Barnes of the Huntingdonshire Society and of course Deputy Chairman of the ABC. More at http://www.rahbarnes.demon.co.uk/hunts/flag.htm
