Website questions

If you have spotted an error or omission, or need further clarification about something on one of our websites, please let us know.

Firstly however, please make sure that you understand the nature of the counties described on our websites and the work of the Association:

  • We use the term ‘county’ to mean one of the historic counties.
  • When describing geographical locations, we refer the historic county associated with that location.
  • The Association of British Counties works to promote the historic counties and cannot advise on local authority areas or any other form of geographical area which uses the term ‘county’.

If you are unsure of what we mean by the ‘historic counties‘ please visit the County-Wise website which contains information about the counties.

If your enquiry is not resolved by the above statements, please see the questions and answers below, or ask your own.
