The Flag Institute has announced today that the design submitted by the Staffordshire Heritage Group
is the winner of the online poll to choose a flag for the county. The design, a traditional pattern associated with the county for several centuries, won with 72.84% of the vote. Congratulations to the Staffordshire Heritage Group and the people of Staffordshire.

I,m from Burton upon Trent and decisions emanating from Stafford are a determent to this town especially in regards to the NHS, traffic management, closing police control centres, etc. Before I lived here it was a county borough and had control of it,s own affairs’. I think alot of people here consider themselves from East Midlands and would rather be Derbyshire if not able to run our own affairs.
